The M30 Long-Body Flush Proximity Sensor is a robust, heavy-duty detection solution. Its large M30 diameter and 10mm sensing range make it suitable for detecting large metallic objects, such as heavy machine parts, cams, or lift platforms.
The sensor features an extended 80mm body for versatile mounting. It is particularly noted for its PTFE (Teflon) housing option, which withstands harsh wash-down environments and corrosive chemical exposure that would destroy standard sensors. Rated IP67 and equipped with full circuit protection, it delivers consistent NPN or PNP switching performance in demanding industrial conditions (-25 C to +60 C).

Q:Can I install this sensor completely inside a metal block?
A:Yes. Since this is a Flush (Shielded) model, the electromagnetic field is focused directly in front of the sensor face. You can embed the sensor fully into a metal bracket without the surrounding metal causing false triggers.
Q:When should I choose the PTFE housing?
A:You should select PTFE (Teflon) if your application involves corrosive agents (acids, solvents, cleaning fluids) or if you are in the food industry where non-stick and hygienic surfaces are required. Standard metal sensors may corrode in these environments.
Q:Is 100Hz fast enough for my application?
A:100 Hz is a low switching frequency, meant for stability. It is perfect for:
Position detection (e.g., is the gate open or closed?).
Counting slow-moving objects on a conveyor.
Liquid level detection.
It is NOT suitable for high-speed RPM counting (e.g., gear teeth).
