FAQ
Q：What is the difference between "Light ON" and "Dark ON"?
A：Light ON: The output turns ON when the sensor receives light. (e.g., In Diffuse mode, when an object is in front of the sensor).
Dark ON: The output turns ON when the sensor does not receive light. (e.g., In Through-beam mode, when an object blocks the beam).
This series allows you to select either mode via a knob.
Q：This datasheet says IP65. Can I use it in wash-down areas?
A：IP65 means the sensor is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. It is suitable for general factory environments where it might get splashed, but it is not recommended for high-pressure wash-downs (IP69K) or submersion (IP67/IP68).
Q：Why does the Diffuse model distance vary (100mm vs 1m)?
A：Diffuse sensors rely on light reflecting off the object itself.
100mm / 300mm versions are usually "Short Range" or "Background Suppression" types, good for precise detection of small parts.
1m versions are "Long Range" diffuse, good for detecting larger boxes or pallets.
Note: The actual distance depends on the color of the target. Darker objects absorb light and reduce the range.
